Braden Bunting, Bill Schaff, and Michael Lovelace donate blood.
Commonwealth’s team in Des Moines, IA, believes that giving back is a core part of who we are. Over the past few months, our team has come together to support two meaningful initiatives that reflect our commitment to community well-being.
We proudly hosted our Annual Onsite Blood Drive in partnership with LifeServe Blood Center, the primary blood provider for over 150 hospitals across Iowa, Illinois, South Dakota, and Nebraska. A total of 11 employees participated in the drive, including two first-time donors. Thanks to their generosity, up to 36 lives will be saved or sustained!
In addition, we continued our tradition of giving back through the annual School Supply Drive. Each year, we collect and donate school supplies to a local school. So far, we’ve supported three different schools, and in 2025, we were thrilled to donate 2,022 items to Edmunds Elementary School in Des Moines.
Edmunds Elementary shared that their need was especially high this year and requested supplies before the school year began. Thanks to the incredible generosity and coordination of our team, we met that deadline, ensuring that both teachers and students could start the year fully equipped and ready to succeed.
We’re proud of the compassion of our team that made these efforts possible. Whether it’s through lifesaving donations or supporting local schools, the Des Moines location continues to show what it means to lead with heart.
