I currently attend University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where I am studying Construction Management with a minor in International Business.

May 2028

What is your internship department and primary office location?
Project Management | Des Moines, IA

After graduation, what’s your dream job? Where do you hope to be?
After graduation, my goal is to work in the construction industry as a Project Manager or Superintendent. I enjoy being involved on job sites and seeing projects come together from start to finish. I like roles that allow me to work in the field, collaborate with different teams, and stay involved in the building process instead of being in the office all the time. Ideally, I would like to continue working in Iowa or somewhere in the Midwest.

What is a hobby you enjoy?
I’m a member of the women’s rugby team at my university and enjoy staying active through sports and Pilates. On campus, I’m involved in Alpha Phi, the Construction Management Club, and Women in Business. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, trying new restaurants, traveling, and staying active.

What is your favorite TV show, movie, and/or book?
My favorite book is The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins. I also enjoy watching Kitchen Nightmares and crime documentaries.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself?
I enjoy meeting new people and learning from those around me. Outside of school and work, I value spending time with the people who are important to me. I’m excited for the opportunity to gain hands-on experience as a Project Management Intern and to learn more about how projects are managed in the electrical and construction industry while working with the team this summer.
