Electrical Apprentice Sadie Hopkey
Congratulations to Sadie Hopkey, a second-year electrical apprentice at our location in Des Moines, IA, for winning this year’s Apprentice Community Service Program!
The program, organized by the Des Moines Electrical Apprenticeship organization, recognizes apprentices who contribute at least 15 hours of community service to nonprofit organizations over the course of the year.
Over the past year, Sadie volunteered at numerous organizations, including the Young Women’s Resource Center, the Central Iowa Apprenticeship Expo, and Norwalk High School’s Career Night. She also played a key role in organizing the Union Hall’s Christmas events, Easter egg hunt, St. Patrick’s Day parade, Labor Day parade, annual picnic, and golf outing. She is also an active member of the Des Moines Electrical Apprenticeship Women’s Committee and RENEW Committee.
