The project renovations include upgrading the existing emergency department into new exam rooms, nurse call systems, and access controls, which are intended to enhance patient comfort and care efficiency. Replacing an old 500-kW generator and transfer switch with a new 1,500-kW setup while maintaining hospital operations is a challenging aspect of this project, highlighting its complexity.

Commonwealth is working with General Contractor JE Dunn on this project, leveraging their previous collaboration on several hospital projects. This partnership brings experience and expertise that will contribute to the project’s successful completion for the community’s benefit.
