Central Engineering- Omaha, NE is assisting the CECM Phoenix office to provide BIM staffing and assistance for a DPR Construction project location in Phoenix, AZ. DPR was hired to renovate an existing production facility in Mesa, AZ for Dexcom, Inc., a manufacturer of glucose monitoring devices. This 148,000 square-foot project is a build-out of an existing building. Total improved areas will encompass 54,240 square-foot.
The first-floor improvements will transform the industrial warehouse space into a fully functional medical device manufacturing space. The improved manufacturing capacity will enhance the production of hardware and software compatible glucose monitors for the facility. The mezzanine improvements will house the existing mechanical equipment.
Commonwealth Electric’s central engineering team has been given a collaborative opportunity to provide BIM and staff assistance for this Mesa, AZ project. CECM has temporarily relocated Megan Morse, BIM Drafter, to Phoenix in order to provide her technical knowledge for this Dexcom project. Megan’s main function while on site is to provide BIM modeling, clash detection and field drawings for the Phoenix project team.
