On June 25th, Commonwealth Electric had four representatives at United Way’s annual Day of Action. This year, United Way had over 100 volunteers hand out 1,200 books and read to over 800 kids at their partnering agencies. Four individuals from Commonwealth Electric-Corporate participated in the event, traveling to CEDARS Early Childhood Development Center, located in Lincoln, Nebraska. They read books to toddler and preschool-age children at the center, and gave them books bought through various United Way fundraisers.
