Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest is proud to be a key partner in developing the Gerald L. Walters Sports Complex in McCook, NE, led by General Contractor Mammoth Sports Construction. This new facility is set to become a regional destination for youth sports and community events, and Commonwealth is delivering the electrical infrastructure to bring the complex to life.

Under the leadership of Service Manager Matt Helms, our team is handling all electrical needs of the facility, providing comprehensive systems that support operations and enhance the visitor experience. This includes lighting for pedestrian and parking areas to ensure safe access throughout the site, as well as electrical installations for concession stands, scoreboards for one soccer field, four baseball fields, two championship fields, and batting cages. These systems are designed to support both functionality and comfort across the complex.

In addition to powering athletic features, Commonwealth is working closely with other trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems throughout the site. From underground conduit work to final fixture installation, every aspect is being executed with precision and care. Our team’s attention to detail and commitment to quality are helping ensure the complex operates efficiently and reliably for years to come.

As construction moves forward, Commonwealth is honored to contribute to a project that reflects McCook’s commitment to community growth and recreational excellence. The Gerald L. Walters Sports Complex will be a lasting asset for the region, and we’re proud to help make it a reality.

The Greater NE team has begun work at the Gerald L. Walters Sports Complex.
