Des Moines Team Partners with Local Pre-Apprenticeship Programs

May 16, 2024

On May 10, Southeast Polk High School hosted the 36th Annual Iowa Industrial Technology Exposition. During this event, Southeast Polk High School announced an agreement with the Des Moines Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) and local contractors to introduce a pre-apprenticeship electrical program. Vice President Michael Duffy was in attendance and signed Commonwealth Electric’s agreement to recognize the program. We are excited to partner with Southeast Polk High School to promote the electrical field and support the next generation of electricians.

Speaking of the next generation, congratulations to Charles Knudsen! Charles recently completed the pre-apprenticeship electrical program at Central Campus and will be graduating from Lincoln High School at the end of the month. During Central Campus’s Signing Day, he signed a letter to come work for Commonwealth after graduation. We’re excited to have him join our team!
