Lincoln Team Starts Work on Exciting New Project

Mar 2, 2023

Our team in Lincoln, Nebraska, has begun working on phase one of an exciting project on West O Street: a pet food manufacturing facility.

This facility is an 80,800-square-foot slab-on-grade building consisting of first-floor production and a mezzanine-style interstitial space. Phase one of the project is the ready-to-eat side of the facility, where the product will be placed on a trolley, brought into freeze dryers, and then sent off to the packaging stage before being loaded on trucks for transport. The building’s construction consists of a steel I-Beam frame, concrete knee-wall, IMP walls, and a metal deck roof.

For this project, we have joined forces as a joint venture partner with Guarantee Electrical Company from St. Louis, Missouri. Mike Pulec is the electrical foreman on site. He and his crew have completed under-slab feeder raceways and perimeter grounding, and they have begun overhead raceways and ladder trays in the interstitial space on the mezzanine level. Commonwealth and Guarantee have partnered with Gray Construction for this project. With a 16-month construction schedule, this project is anticipated to be completed in the Fall of 2023!
