The Phoenix team enjoys an afternoon at Escapology in Tempe, AZ.
Employees of Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest in Phoenix, AZ, stepped away from their desks for an afternoon of teamwork, problem-solving, and friendly competition at Escapology in Tempe, AZ. After enjoying lunch together, the team divided into groups and took on a variety of themed escape rooms, including Mansion Murder, Batman, Seven Deadly Sins, and The Narc.
With the clock ticking, each group worked together to uncover clues, solve riddles, and make their way through the challenges before time ran out. The activity gave team members a fun opportunity to collaborate with coworkers they may not interact with every day, while also highlighting each person’s unique strengths and problem-solving skills.
The Seven Deadly Sins room was a great example of the teamwork seen across all four rooms. Everyone participated, shared ideas, and worked toward the common goal of escaping in time. Escape rooms are designed to encourage collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and time management, making them a strong fit for workplace team-building events.
In the end, all four teams successfully escaped before the clock ran out, and the Batman team claimed first place. More than just an afternoon away from the office, the event was a reminder of what can happen when coworkers come together, think creatively, and support one another under pressure.
