Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest (CECM) recently completed electrical work on the new OrthoNebraska West Maple Clinic, a new healthcare facility designed to support orthopedic care and physical therapy services in southwest Omaha, NE. The clinic, which spans more than 35,000 square feet, includes open physical therapy spaces, treatment rooms, and supporting medical areas tailored to patient care and rehabilitation.

The electrical scope included all new systems throughout the building. Work included interior and exterior lighting fixtures, electrical panels, site lighting and light poles, fire alarm systems, and complete power and lighting infrastructure. From rough-in through final installation, the project required careful planning to support a functional and flexible therapy-focused environment.

McCarthy Building Companies served as the General Contractor on the project. Field operations were led by General Foreman Josh Kreifels, with Foreman Kris Gomon supporting daily coordination and execution. Josh’s leadership played a key role in maintaining productivity, coordinating crews, and keeping the project on schedule.

“[Kreifels] provided strong leadership throughout the project, successfully running his crew efficiently and keeping the work on schedule,” said a representative from McCarthy Building Companies. “Commonwealth was very easy to work with.”

Project oversight was supported by Project Manager Nick Reiners, who helped maintain coordination between the field crew, schedule, and overall project objectives. The collaboration between McCarthy and Commonwealth contributed to a smooth workflow and Apprentice Electrician Caeden Hoge completes work at the new OrthoNebraska West Maple Clinic. positive jobsite experience throughout the project.

Construction on the project began in January 2025 and was finished in February 2026. Now complete, the OrthoNebraska West Maple Clinic stands as a modern space dedicated to patient care, movement, and recovery. The CECM team values the strong partnership with McCarthy Building Companies throughout the process and is proud to have supported a project that will serve patients and providers for years to come.
