UnityPoint Health’s new Eyerly Ball Clinic
Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest’s team in Des Moines, IA, was proud to be selected as the electrical contractor for the new UnityPoint Health Eyerly Ball Clinic design-build project. This new two-story, 16,520 square-foot facility—located just east of UnityPoint Health’s Iowa Lutheran Hospital—was completed in April. This clinic provides a range of mental health services and includes a pharmacy, as well as several consult, therapy, telehealth, and conference rooms.
Senior Project Manager Travis Powell and Project Manager Kate Kriegel supported Project Foreman Bryan Jacobs in the field. Bryan was specifically chosen for this project due to his electrical expertise, diverse skillset, and strong commitment to adhering to the project schedule. Under his leadership, our electricians installed a new 800-amp electrical service, interior and exterior lighting, lighting controls, and wiring devices.
Our low voltage team also played a significant role in this project. Led by Project Manager Jimmy Signs, our technicians installed a variety of systems, including cameras, paging, sound masking, fire alarms, access control, duress buttons, data cabling, and a glass break detection system.
We are grateful for the opportunity to once again partner with Edge Companies and UnityPoint Health on a design-build project. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationships with them and the rest of the design team.
