Covidien Medical knew that their lighting systems were inefficient, outdated, and costing them money.

Covidien Medical

Their corporate standards for efficiency projects called for a five year ROI and no one had been able to propose a system that could meet that standard.

The team of Engineer, Brian Orton, and Foreman, Don Volbrecht began the process by conducting a thorough audit of the nearly 250,000 sq ft facility.  The final design indicated elimination of 140kW (over 400A at 208V) from the plant’s base load electrical system.  The project won approval and with annual energy savings of $45,600 and rebates of $80,000 the ROI was 3 years.

This entire installation was successfully completed in 3 months.
