Electrical systems within Nebraska Medicine Praire Commons

Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest (CECM) is proud to contribute to the Nebraska Medicine Prairie Commons project in Grand Island, NE, a state-of-the-art healthcare facility designed to support patient care, staff efficiency, and advanced clinical operations. Spanning approximately 43,197 square feet, the project is being delivered in partnership with Chief Construction and is led by Project Manager Riley Fischer, with General Foreman Jeff Trotta overseeing field execution. Prairie Commons represents an important investment in Nebraska Medicine’s continued commitment to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare facilities for the region.

Commonwealth’s scope of work on the project is comprehensive, encompassing a wide range of electrical and low voltage systems essential to modern healthcare environments. Our team is performing the facility’s electrical installation, along with audiovisual intercom systems, nurse call, public address, fire alarm, and sound masking systems. In addition, Commonwealth is delivering integrated technology solutions through Confluence Technology Group, including access control, CCTV, and structured voice and data systems. Together, these systems are designed to support safety, communication, security, and efficiency throughout the facility.
