Confluence Technology Group (CTG) recently completed a large-scale fiber replacement project at the Woodward Resource Center campus in Woodward, IA. The project included the installation, termination, and testing of multi-strand single-mode fiber across a four-square-mile campus serving 48 buildings.

The scope of work included 2,532 fiber splices and 48 midspans, making it one of the largest outside plant fiber projects completed by the Des Moines, IA, team. The project was completed to overhaul the campus’s existing fiber infrastructure and support upgraded fire alarm systems and improved network reliability.

Despite being completed primarily during the winter months and in challenging outdoor conditions, the project progressed smoothly and was completed successfully. The work reflects CTG’s ability to manage complex infrastructure projects while maintaining quality, coordination, and focus from start to finish.

The project team included Project Manager John Christensen, Project Coordinator Michael Hoy, and Project Foreman Rebecca May. CTG partnered with the State of Iowa, Story Construction, and Siemens to complete the work.

Congratulations to everyone involved on the successful completion of this important project and for helping deliver upgraded, reliable infrastructure to the Woodward Resource Center campus.
