The new basketball courts at Abbott Sport Complex
This winter, we’re proud to share a project that reflects our commitment to community engagement: the electrical upgrade for the Lincoln Sports Foundation’s (LSF) new basketball courts at Abbott Sports Complex. Through the Commonwealth Cares initiative, we donated labor and expertise to help bring this vision to life.
The Lincoln Sports Foundation serves youth and families by providing inclusive sports opportunities. When they needed electrical work for their new courts, our team stepped in to design and implement a solution that would meet their needs and enhance the facility. From the start, collaboration was key. We worked closely with LSF representatives to ensure the project supported their goals and delivered a safe, modern infrastructure.
Our work included installing wiring and cabling for motorized hoops, divider curtains, scoreboards, and camera systems, all integrated seamlessly to create a state-of-the-art experience. We also coordinated with partners to align schedules and ensure smooth installation.
This project would not have been possible without the dedication and skill of our field team. Tyler Tepe, our lead electrician, delivered exceptional electrical work, while Mark Swyers, our lead low voltage technician, ensured flawless integration of control systems and cabling. Their professionalism and expertise were instrumental in achieving a successful outcome.
Today, the upgraded courts feature modern electrical infrastructure that supports advanced technology, creating a better experience for athletes, coaches, and spectators. These improvements will help the Lincoln Sports Foundation host high-quality events and training programs for years to come.
This project demonstrates the power of partnership and our unwavering dedication to supporting the communities where we live and work.
